The physical development which is happening through moving around the table includes lifting, walking, squatting, squeezing, fetching
mixing and pouring should not be underestimated. Children require ludicrous
amounts of physical development before they can begin to make sense of all the academic stuff. Mud play really does tick all 7 areas of early years development. It is fabulous for communication and social skills too.
Build to withstand all
weathers and most children!
Since designing our first mud kitchen some years ago we have watched how children play with each of our EGToys and taken feedback from settings and parents. One thing we have come to know is that not all children play the same way. Whilst many children like the our Classic Mud Kitchen with bowls, shelves and hangers other children just want the space to bring their own magic to the table - hence our new Mud Kitchen Table.
